Martin Luther King, jr. was a huge advocate of freedom as I'm sure many of you know. When I came upon a couple of amazing finds today, I could feel that freedom today more so than others. And I just wanted to mention the amazing freedom I feel and share with other people who practice the free box philosophy.
Thank you!
I would also like to note that with the lack of rain Portland has received this January and the amount of sunny, albeit chilly, days I believe that it's been a record free boxing finding winter, at least for me.
As I was biking home from yoga this beautiful morning I came upon this free box and I almost couldn't contain my excitement. Here's why:
Totally creepy and adorable at the same time:) I absolutely love it.

So my b-day is actually January 1st. I decided to follow Cory's b-day idea and do as much free stuff as I could that would also be relaxing.
I went to free yoga at the Bhaktishop. Hooray!
Brandon and myself then biked downtown and I had a delicious raw meal at Prassad, free, courtesy of Brandon. What a sweet guy :)
I then went to Movie Madness to get a free b-day rental. Awesome!
And to top it off I scheduled my free sauna/soak at Common Ground Wellness Center, which was so relaxing!
Along our bike path to Prassad was this conceptual free box, which I had heard about and my friend sent me a pic, but I had personally never witnessed. It was pretty sweet. It's on the East Bank Esplanade. Somebody has spray painted a "free box" right in the middle of the path. Here's a photo:
I placed a copy of the zine on the free box and I am happy to report that when I biked home, it was gone :)
Also while biking home I came upon my first actual free box of 2013.
